What can Golden City Support Services do for you?
This is known as Short-Term Accommodation under the NDIS and is often referred to as Respite.
We offer opportunities for people to
- be involved in their local community and recreation
- build independence away from their usual accommodation
- be supported in skill development in daily-living skills
- enjoy and engage in new experiences
- to build and maintain friendships
Location
Bendigo: respite accommodation for adults (18 to 65 years)
Gisborne: respite accommodation for adults (18 to 65 years)
How we provide support and make a difference in people’s lives
- We are a planned respite service, which provides ‘on-going’ respite to people throughout their plan periods with regular stays
- Planned regular respite provides the space for carers to have the opportunity to look after themselves and other members of their family.
- We work alongside people to engage them in their day-to-day life
- Our team are coached to provide support in ways that have been proven to make a real difference in people’s lives
Other Information
- We are available for bookings 7 days per week in Bendigo, and across weekends in Gisborne
- Our planned short-term respite is provided in specifically designed respite homes in Bendigo and Gisborne
- Our support ratios are 1:1 support if required, or 1:2 support. We do not provide 1:3 or 1:4 support
- Please note for weeknight booking requests, single occupancy will be quoted in case support is unable to be shared
